At a salary of $75,600, gross monthly income of $6,300 and take home pay of $4,575. Do you guys know how much my unemployment might be should I get laid off or where I can go to look for information on how to calculate?
A $1,000 eFund is clearly not going to cover a month of expenses so I am just trying to get a handle on everything before I implement my "plan" in January.

I feel terrible sharing this with you. You will be shocked by how little you will get. Let's pray that you are not laid off.

The Borrower, I'm looking at that PDF and I feel stuck-on-stupid trying to figure out how this works. :(
Hi Chitown, the maximum you can get I think is $358 a week.

Once umake over a certain amount u get the max unemployment. Someone making $75K is gonna get the max unemployment of like $400 a week before taxes. It varies by state.
I have had $1000 emergency fund for 3.5 years. I have used it and refilled it on a few occasions, but I haven't needed more than $1000.
It takes some getting used to but now I don't even sweat it.
If I were to loose my job I know that I can take care of the necessities with unemployement. This does not include debt. In a time of crisis I will focus on the food, shelter, transportation, utilities.
Looks like unemployment would be just enough to cover my mortgage payment and assessments. If I got laid off here at the Bank, I would likely receive a severance package too. Thankfully, my car is paid off.
