Job Offer…
I received and accepted a job offer from the Bank. I will be moving into the position within the next 30 days. I am excited and a little nervous. The job definitely did not come with the salary I was hoping for but I did receive a $12k increase which is going to help out a lot. Additionally, sometimes you need to force change in order to get your career moving in the right direction. I have been working in the same position since graduating from undergrad 8 years ago so I need something else on my resume. I got too comfortable so I am taking this position to force change on myself, to learn new skills and get more experience. I am still looking to move into a Firm position within the next 12 months so this is hopefully just a stepping stone on my way to practicing law.

You know, I did the same thing in my last career move. In fact I actually took a cut, but it's paid off with a 4th straight year of significant raises that put me almost where I belong and now I love where I'm at.
New work is always exciting. (well, almost always) Enjoy it knowing that better things are on the horizon!
Congrats! I'm in a similar position myself right now, although I am finally doing something to change my situation. It is REALLY easy to get comfortable.
Woo-hoo! Way to go! It'll be nice to see your net worth updates fast-tracking their way in the right direction! :0)
Thanks Guys!!!
I am working on the plan now to see how things will work out. At $67k, things are still going to be tight with the amount of student loan debt.
That's great news! I bet you will be practicing law with a very comfortable salary by year end.
All things are possible.
Conratulations! Change is really hard, but this sounds like a great move for you! Very happy for you and what a nice raise to boot!
congratulations!
YAY!! Congrats!
That's GREAT! Congratulations!!
Wow, that's great news! Congratulations on the new position. Heck, even cost of living increases will be a lot better on a $67k salary than a $55k. ;)
Woohoo! I wish you all the best in your new job! Congrats. :)
This is wonderful! We all take varied paths to practicing law. Enjoy your new gig!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
This is just a stepping stone, so keep pounding the pavement. When you transition into your new position - always be alert of opportunities and network, network, network!!
But I'm sure you already know that. :-)
Congratulations on the new job!ctpcvi
