Good goals! I like your commitment, and your tracking. I went back to look at the last monthly budget I could find. In September (I think) you paid about $1,300 toward debt. If you intend to pay off $20,000 that will mean paying $1,666 in principal alone. There will likely still be some interest in your payments. To make things round, let's say that will mean paying $2,000 per month toward your debt. Does this look about right? That's a big increase over last year. Just want to make sure that you are being realistic - can you do this? What is the plan? If it's not realistic, you might bring that goal down so that you can make it achievable. Anyway, good luck!

Hi Scooze,

Thanks for the comment. The bulk is coming from my annual bonus which was ~ $13,000 after taxes this year. Then the remaining will come from two extra paychecks this year totaling $4,600 and then the liquidation of stock which is another $4,400 minimum. Then there are the regular monthly payments which should put me well over the $20,000 mark.

I will post an updated budget soon. I pay ~ $1,400/month towards debt right now with regular monthly payments.

I'm glad you're back!!!
Your goals look great.
As for Niagara Falls go to the Canadian side. They are much better. I'm from Buffalo so I'm very familiar with the falls. Growing up I went at least 4-5x/year. When I was in college and went home for break me and my friends would go to Canada because the drinking age is 19. SMH! I always say I'm going to go and pay them a visit when I go see my parents but I haven't made it.

Hi ShellyShell,

I have a good friend that lives in Toronto. I may just coordinate with him and we can hang out at the falls together. I have to travel to Toronto for business this Summer so I'll just extend my stay. That actually sounds fun.

Thanks!
