So I went online and changed my federal witholdings from 2 to 3 and I upped my 401k contributions back to 5%. The changes won't show up until my paycheck at the end of April since I only get paid once a month. That will give me at least 2 months of 401k contributions before the rest of loans go into repayment. That's $1,400 in contributions to my 401k in 2 months!!!
I will find out about the raise by the end of the month. If I get a raise, I believe I will be able to keep my contributions at 5%.

go you!!! You are doing big things!!!
Thanks YPB!!!
have you checked on your property value recently? is it truly still 165k?
Anon,
I honestly think my house is worth what someone will pay for it. That's how the Condo market is in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs especially since it's not FHA approved.
I got my condo appraised in November 2008 and that was the appraised value. I do not plan to sell it in the near future so I am keeping the value stagnant for the time being.
Thanks for your question!!!
